The CSBDC at the Urban League of Greater Cleveland is a consortium of the Urban League of Greater Cleveland, the Hispanic Business Association, and the Nance College of Business at Cleveland State University.
Our program is designed to address a wide range of clients -- from current business owners, to those that are contemplating starting their own business. No matter where you find yourself in the process the Cuyahoga Small Business Development Center at the Urban League of Greater Cleveland can help.
The CSBDC at the Urban League of Greater Cleveland offer comprehensive business management and education services; free, confidential, in-depth, one-on-one counseling and low- or no-cost training.

NORTHEAST REGION MINORITY BUSINESS ASSISTANCE CENTER
Creating an Environment to Help Businesses Succeed
The Northeast Region Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) division of Ohio Department of Development is located at Urban League of Greater Cleveland’s Entrepreneurship Center.
The Cleveland MBAC Team assists small businesses (minority, women, veteran –owned) and others with the following:
(1) Access to Capital:
a. Equipment loans
b. Real estate loans
c. Working capital lines of credit
d. Accounts receivable funding
e. Ohio Capital Access, Patriot Express (military), SBA, state and local funding programs.

b. Other insurance companies
(3) MBE/EDGE Certification – State of Ohio:
a. Monthly certification classes held at Urban League of Greater Cleveland’s computer lab.
(4) Contract Opportunities:

Collaboration, Relationships and Excellence (CRE)
UBIZ Connect, a new revenue and jobs accelerator funded by a generous grant from Chase will provide small businesses room to grow and technical assistance to speed their development. The member-based group will invite up to 12 high-potential existing businesses to set up shop in the Urban League’s downtown Cleveland headquarters and receive specialized support to help them grow revenue and create jobs.
UBIZ Connect will encourage participating businesses to become collaborative partners, sharing ideas and resources. The exchange will help entrepreneurs expand their industry knowledge, build new business relationships, network and gain new client prospects. They may even launch additional ventures and create additional jobs as a result of their collaboration, Mockabee said.

GOLDMAN SACHS 10,000 SMALL BUSINESSES PROGRAM
The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses education program is a 100-hour curriculum that was built by Babson College, which is the leading school on entrepreneurship education in the U.S., to be modular, adaptive, and scalable with strong ties to business support services and access to capital. The curriculum will be delivered at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), in partnership with Babson College. In addition to Babson College, the 10,000 Small Businesses program partners in Cleveland include Cuyahoga Community College, Council of Smaller Enterprises, JumpStart, the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Urban League of Greater Cleveland.
